Primary Election Malpractices: Kogi APC Chairman, Abdullahi Bello Fires Back at Kabiru Ajanah

Hon. Bello made the remark while reacting to the press statement on Tuesday in Lokoja.

He said it is the opportunity that brought Hon. Ajanah on board in 2015 as the APC House of Representatives candidate that should be referred to as a sham and a charade as there were no due processes followed, and no primaries were conducted then in the state.

According to the Chairman, the then APC under the watch of their great leader, late Prince Abubakar Audu only charged all the aspirants heavily and made then sole candidates single handedly against the wishes of party members and the electoral process.

He said the mandate that gave him the opportunity to represent the good people of Okehi/Adavi was originally the mandate of Hon. Suleiman Kokori but that the same Kabir Ajanah who is now accusing the party mischievously substituted Kokori's name for his.

Speaking further, the Chairman challenged Hon. Kabir Ajanah to please publish the result sheets of the primary election that produced him, adding that the current crop of leaders in Kogi APC under Governor Yahaya Bello have respect for due process.

Hon. Bello therefore called on the good people of Kogi Central to disregard the allegation from Hon. Kabir Ajanah as it was cheap and unfounded, stressing that as an Honourable member it is expected he maintains a high level of decorum and sense of disciple rather than take to social media to cast the recent effort of the party in the primaries that has been adjudged by the APC National Working Committee (NWC) as one of the most peaceful, orderly and credible.
