Kogi Central Senate: APC Primary Was Ignominious, a Charade and Bad Precept, Says Dalhatu Sheriff

The toll of aggrieved aspirants who are not down with the outcome of the primaries of All Progressives Congress is on the increase, as Dalhatu Sheriff has also broken silence, describing the process as a bad precept for credible elections craved towards the 2029 general elections.

Sheriff who was announced the first runner-up at the Senate Primary stated this on Wednesday in a Press Statement, even as he hoped that the Primary Election Appeal Committee being constituted by the National Working Committee (NWC) of the ruling party will deliver justice in their reports.

According to him, if the events at the primaries are allowed to hold sway, "it would be tantamount to destroying the party and the party is on the verge of  paving way for another party to have a landslide victory at the poll in the next year General Elections where security forces, any forms of intimidations, government appointees and other forms of despotic measures would not hold sway."

"May Almighty Allah bless us all and give our senatorial district a leader that would liberate our constituency from socio-economic deprivations as we seek to have a robust, dynamic and quality represenatation at the 9th National Assembly in 2019."
