Kogi APC Releases Results of House of Reps Primaries Across Kogi Central


The All Progressives Congress in  Kogi State has released the results of the House of Representatives primary election held across the local governments in the Central Senatorial District of Kogi State. 



The results announced Tijani Damisa, Joseph Asuku Bello and Lawal Idris Mohammed as winners of Okene/Ogorimagongo, Adavi/Okehi, and Ajaokuta constituencies respectively. 

While the party claimed that the polls were conducted freely and credibly, there were reported cases of irregularities and alleged malpractices and intimidation to the favour of anointed aspirants. 


Oziohu, a Banker who cried out via her facebook page, uploaded a video evidence of the Okene Administrator acting as agent for Tijani Damisa, and voting for delegates on the claims that they are illiterates. 

She described the process as unacceptable, while working out of the venue. 

However, the released result scored Tijani Damisa 449 votes, Nasiru Usman Bello 59 votes, Ibrahim Musa 36, Mariam Ozohu Ahmed 34, and Rufai Obatemi 15 votes. 

If elected at the general elections in 2019, Damisa who only recently decamped to APC will be having a 3rd term at the Green Chamber.



In Ada's constituency, Joseph Asuku Bello who also had a die-minute decamping ceremony from the PDP to APC coasted to victory with 594 votes, defeating Momohjimoh Oba,  Danjuma Atta and Sheriff. 
  
In Ajaokuta, Lawal Idris Muhammed polled 295 to defeat Yusuf Balogun and Adama Atola.
