Hoodlums Disrupt Ihima Youths Summit

While planning to hold an all-important summit, being an opportunity to address critical issues affecting the socio-political development of Ihima district in Okehi Local Government Area, little did the organizers know that the much publicised event will hit the rock. 

The Ihima Summit which was billed to hold on Saturday was disrupted by hoodlums who made it to the venue before the time of the event. 

In the bid to speak with one of the conveners, Lawal Babamba, our correspondent gathered that he had been picked up by the Police. 

Meanwhile, a source who spoke on the condition of anonymity narrated that the hoodlums invaded the Ihima Community Secondary School venue of the event, threatening the hall decorators to pull down the arrangements. 

According to him, one Nasiru was also arrested by the Police, and accused of having made inciting statements on social media. 

"We were taken by surprise because we made sure every relevant stakeholders, including the Police were informed. Even, when we paid courtesy calls on traditional rulers, we were accompanied by security agencies," he said
