Gov Bello Will Not Renege on His Promises to Ebira People - Engr. Ohere

The hope and trust of the good people of Ebiraland in the administration of His Excellency Alh. Yahaya Bello to deliver on the earnest yearning of the people has been rekindled with the reassuring words of his Special Adviser on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Engr. (Dr.) Abubakar Sadiku Ohere.

Engr. Ohere gave the reassurance yesterday while on an assessment tour of the ongoing rehabilitation of Okene Waterworks Facility. According to him, His Excellency is very much aware of the immediate concerns of the people as captured in his commitment at the beginning of his administration; and as a responsible government, no rest is being taken until those promises are fully redeemed. 

Engr. Ohere said with the progress attained on the water project, the perrenial water scarcity in Ebiraland will soon be a thing of the past. 

On salary payment, Engr. Ohere said there is serious improvement compared to before as the August salary of all cleared Local Government workers has been paid on the express order of His Excellency.

That of pensioners and political office holders has also been paid fully paid. 

He equally harped on the delayed ongoing roads construction by the state government which he attributed to the wet season. Contractors will soon return to sites once the season favors continuation, he hinted.

Earlier, Engr. Ohere attended the 3 days Fidau Prayer of Late Alh. Salihu Bajeh, the father of Hon. Muktar Onoruoiza Bajeh at Lafia-Obessa, Okene LGA officiated by the Naibil Imam of Ebiraland, Alh. Salihu Abere.

Engr. Ohere in a condolence message on behalf of His Excellency, commiserated with his family and friends with a prayer to Almighty God to grant the soul of the deceased a perfect rest and grant the bereaved the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.
